Come and Sing/PlayWe have now staged two of these events, Saturday 20 January 2007 Richard Roddis and Nicolette Moonen (see below) directed both workshops for singers and players. In each case about 130 people took part. The first, in 2007, centred on New World Symphonies - Latin American liturgical music of the 16th and early 17th centuries. We explored in some of the repertoire for our next concert Music of the Americas. We experienced and enjoyed the grandeur and the exuberance of the Christian/Incan cross-culture of the Baroque New World.
In the second, in 2008, welooked at one of one of the best kept secrets of the Baroque era, the Requiem à 15 in A by Heinrich Biber, the centrepiece of our next concert on 1 March, Royal Requiem.
